This weekend I’m at the First National Conference Against Assisted Suicide.
Today I took a flight in from JFK (barely making it due to construction/flooding), picked up my rental and headed to the hotel.
This evening has been filled with informal meetings and greetings. Sharing struggles and opinions, what’s worked in other states, and what hasn’t.
It’s great to have everyone in one space. Though it feels a bit odd being from a Suicide State, and having Act 39 so recently passed. We need to get more people in Vermont calling for a repeal.
I’m definitely learning a lot from this conference already.
Well off to sleep, tomorrow, I give a talk at group I used to work with in St. Paul, and Margaret Dore is coming along for a broader perspective.
More posts tomorrow!
